Theresa Weaver-Barbers

Theresa Weaver-Barbers is the Senior Associate Attorney at Tanner Law Offices, LLC boasting both Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and global experience. She obtained a B.A. with High Honors from Bowdoin College in Maine, majoring in German. She obtained her JD from Widener University Commonwealth Law School graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors.

While studying at Widener she was the Managing Editor of the Widener Journal of Law, Economics, and Race as well as served as the Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society.

Her career began at Tanner Law Offices, LLC where she spent many years representing our clients in family law and immigration matters as an Associate Attorney and has returned to the firm as a Senior Associate Attorney.

Theresa was awarded the designation as a 2009 recipient of the Fulbright Teaching Assistantship as part of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, where she taught English and American Studies to students in Germany. As a Fulbright scholar, this honor places her in the company of famous authors such as John Updike and John Steinbeck, 30 Heads of State, 80 Pulitzer Prize winners, and 53 Nobel Prize recipients.
